Palace Interactive Leadership Popular Post PalaceNetwork 209 Posted June 12, 2020 Palace Interactive Leadership Popular Post Share Posted June 12, 2020 Welcome to the Palace Network! We are a community dedicated to offering magical experiences to our guests on our Minecraft server, forums website and Discord server! To keep everyone safe and to prevent uncomfortable situations, the following rules must be followed within all of our networks. Failure to do so may result in your removal from the community. You can report violations of these rules via our website. General Rules All content (text, photos, videos, art, etc.) shared must be appropriate for all ages. Swearing, harassment, discrimination, and bullying are not permitted. Your content or chat cannot reveal any personal information including your real name, telephone or address details, links or usernames for social media profiles, or your full birthday. The Palace Network reserves the right to remove content shared on our channels as we see fit. Photos posted may not include identifying information such as your location or your face. We reserve the right to remove photos we feel violate this rule. We also recommend not using selfies for your profile pictures on Discord. Again, this is for your personal safety. While in any general voice channels on our Discord server, all spoken words must be appropriate and family-friendly. Please show respect towards other community members in these channels. Usernames must be appropriate and cannot include synonyms to inappropriate words, racism, homophobia, or religious commentary. We look at your username for authorization when you join our servers, and you will be notified if there are any issues. Your Minecraft username must match your forums profile name and your Discord nickname. Instructions for how to link your Minecraft and forums account can be found here. Advertising is not allowed on any of our online communities. This includes the distribution of website links as well as advertising external communities, servers, social media profiles, and websites. If you’d like to share a link, please contact a staff member for approval. Avoid excessive spam as this can be distracting to moderators and will disrupt our communities. This includes spamming song lyrics, playing “numbers games” to chat sequential numbers, quoting movie scripts, or other chat-based distractions. You can find server organized sequence-based games on our website. Don’t discuss topics that are controversial or that another person may find sensitive. This is done to avoid offending others, to keep arguments and disagreements to a minimum, and to show respect for your fellow players. Such topics include, but are not limited to, sharing opinions on: current events, politics, religion, history, science, homophobia, racism, and personal philosophies. You have a right to an opinion, but we ask you to hold these kinds of discussions elsewhere. We do allow you to talk about your day to day life openly as long as it follows the content sharing guidelines above. You are responsible for all activity that occurs on your accounts. If a punishment happens on your account that you are not aware of, you are still accountable for that moderation action. Minecraft Server Specific Rules Player skins must be appropriate which means avoiding political, criminal, homophobic, religious, gang symbols, drug references, or scantily clad skins. If you are wearing a character skin, do not impersonate that character as this may cause confusion with our guests. Please stay within the boundaries of the parks. Parkouring or using exploits to leave the map or enter backstage areas is prohibited. Purchased items like Ranks or cosmetics cannot be transferred from one player to another and are also non-refundable. Exploiting the in-game economy (tokens, money, or honor) is not permitted. If you manually change the amount of money/tokens on your account, your totals will be reset. Role play is allowed on our server but must be performed in a party chat (roleplay chat on the Creative Server). Family role play is approved but must adhere to the rules stated above with no chat about e-dating or adult themes. Violence, blood, gore, and role playing mature games like Five Nights at Freddy’s or Grand Theft Auto are also not allowed. If you’re ever unsure whether your topic is appropriate or not, please ask a staff member. Hacked Minecraft clients, items, blocks, potions, or similar modifications are not permitted on our server. This includes those that download maps, games, shows, images, sounds, or any custom items. Minecraft mods that give you any in-game advantage over another player are likewise not permitted. If you are found with a world downloader, you will receive an immediate 3 day ban at the minimum. Creative Server Specific Rules The builds and shows you create must be appropriate and aligned with our server’s guidelines. Anything you make should be family friendly and non-violent. Competitions and events may be hosted on your plot as long as the following are taken into consideration: Competitions must operate with a fair set of rules applied. There should always be more than one judge (ideally at least three) for any competition you host. Rules need to be clear to all players at the beginning of any competition. Avoid talent shows, award shows, skin competitions and any other competition that is based on the vote of a single guest or popularity vote. Don’t spam chat when asking others to participate. You can make one announcement to get the attention of others. A follow-up announcement can be sent 5 minutes after the first. Please do not encourage others to announce at the same time as this also causes spam. Staff are not allowed to announce competitions or events for guest plots. Staff cannot set warps for guests. Warps will only be set for community plots developed by the staff. However, if you are an Honorable+ you are able to set a /plotwarp. Don’t grief the work of others. Even if it is on your own plot please give others the courtesy of allowing them to keep their builds. If someone has built something on your plot that you no longer want, please ask the person who created it if they want the item moved to their own plot. (Please ask a Staff Member to help you in this situation.) Staff cannot build or WorldEdit items for you. They can move items at their discretion and are able to fix things that may be broken but they simply cannot build for you. The following standard Minecraft items are not allowed on the Creative Server because they are disruptive to other players: spawn eggs, fire charges, lava, portals, fire, and command blocks of any kind. Trolling players by throwing eggs or splash potions, or shooting arrows at them is not allowed. Do not make any redstone lag machines or clocks. These are contraptions that repeatedly send a current through redstone elements. Since this slows down gameplay for others, it can be considered a lag machine. If you are not sure if something you are making is a clock or lag machine, ask a staff member to review your build. Fireworks are allowed to be created and used in small quantities. If you are planning to build a large fireworks show, please ask a staff member to look at the construction of the show to avoid unintentional lag/clocks. Do not wallpaper walls with item frames. Do not create or open shops (banner, head, and so on). Guidelines on Punishments and Ban Appeals If the above rules are not followed within any of our managed communities (Minecraft server, Discord server, forums website, etc.), the Palace Network team reserves the right to issue punishments and/or remove players from the community in the manner we find appropriate. Please respect our decisions and our team. For issues that take place on our Minecraft server, our staff team has been given guidance on how to best address these situations fairly and for the safety of our players. Punishments include receiving warnings, server mutes, kicks, temporary bans, or a permanent ban. There is a zero tolerance policy for discrimination and disrespect of any form. Content encouraging this will result in an immediate 3 day temporary ban. Please do not openly discuss punishments you may have received in server chat or within Discord channels. This promotes a hostile chat for the other players who are not involved. If you would like to find out more information about why you received a kick or a mute, please direct message an online staff member. If you would like to discuss or dispute a ban you have received, complete the Ban Appeal form on our forums site. Ban appeals will not be granted via private messages on any of our managed communities; you must go through the ban appeal process. Parents and/or guardians are asked to ensure the supervision of their children as our staff team is not fully trained professionals in the aspects of safety. We ask that if you have any issues or concerns that you submit a support ticket on our website. Final Thoughts In summary, please show common courtesy to all members of the community, including staff, by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive, or offensive behavior. Violations of these rules may result in the issuance of punishments and removal from all of our communities. Here at Palace Network, we strive to provide an excellent experience all while retaining a family-friendly and safe environment. These guidelines help protect everyone that chooses to participate in the community. Be kind to others and let staff know if there is an issue you are experiencing. If you have any additional concerns and/or questions regarding these guidelines, please create a support ticket. We'll be happy to look into it for you! Thank you and have a magical day!
