I'm Sofie, more commonly known as Sofieology and welcome to our eigth round of Palace Staff Interviews! Just a heads up, I will be closing this interview on Friday, so make sure you get your votes in beforehand! After our last interview with @ActualFacts, we had an outpour of votes for our next interview candidate. Today, I have the pleasure of interviewing the lovely @RRainbow_! Rainbow is a Moderator on Palace and is a big part of our character program! She is often found helping out players and helping run some fun meet and greets! Outside of the server, she is constantly gaming with other players and is a blast to play with! Without further ado, here’s Rainbow! [Sofieology]: How are you doing, Rainbow? [RRainbow_]: I am doing wonderful! Thank you so much for asking! For those of you who don’t know me, Hi there! I’m RRainbow_ and I’m currently a moderator here on The Palace Network and I’ve loved every moment of being on the staff team! I’ve been on the server for almost 7 years, I joined way back when Palace was called MCMagic! I took a break for quite a while and returned around January this year! Some of my favorite rides include TSM, BTM, and HM. However, without a doubt IASW is my all time favorite as it holds a special place in my heart! Events wise I truly loved the graduation event, even though I didn’t graduate, it was a really touching, emotional, and such a lovely event to attend! You can always find me hanging out in Magic Kingdom or hosting group rides with the lovely palace guests, which is for sure one of my favorite things to do! [Sofieology]: You are a moderator on Palace! Can you give us an insight to what you do? Any special things you are involved in? [RRainbow_]: Absolutely! Being a mod is honestly so much fun! As a moderator, we really focus on interacting with our lovely guests whether it be on the server, discord, or forums we make sure that all of our guests are involved! We are also known for moderating chat and making sure that all of our guests are having not only a magical time but also a safe time while being on the server! As I mentioned before, I can also be found hosting group rides! I love riding the rides on palace especially with guests and other staff members! It’s for sure one of my favorite things to do! Sometimes being a mod can be stressful, however you get use to your job, and from there it’s such a fun experience! Being able to give guests magic and kindness is such an amazing thing! [Sofieology]: Now, you work closely with a lot of our characters! Any favorites? What makes a meet n greet go well? [RRainbow_]: Yes! I absolutely love helping out with our lovely character friends! It’s one of my favorite parts of being a moderator. When one of our character friends decide to come visit palace, it’s our job as moderators to make sure that they enjoy their visit and the guests are entertained and having fun with our character visiting! I was absolutely enchanted to meet Sadness as she is my favorite Pixar character! I love Forky as well, even though he tends to try and find the nearest trash can so he can jump in it! I also can’t forget about Mickey because it’s always a magical time meeting him! Overall, helping with characters is for sure one of my favorite parts of being a mod! 😁 [Sofieology]: Interesting fact, you were one of the first Palace Guides! Care to share what that experience was like? [RRainbow_]: Oh boy! Being a part of the guide program was the best experience! I’ve met majority of my closest friends there! The guide program overall felt like one big happy family as we always made sure that no one was left out and we made sure that everyone was able to answer as many help me requests as possible!From making the guide village to attending the guide parm, so many amazing memories were made! I’ll always remember, “Teamwork makes the dreamwork!” As it has stuck with me even as a staff member! [Sofieology]: Let’s get to know Rainbow outside of Palace! Tell us a bit about yourself! [RRainbow_]: RRainbow_ is actually a major music nerd! I love to play my guitar or ukulele it’s very calming and so much fun! I also love to sing! Even though I don’t have the best singing voice it’s something that I do on a daily basis! If it wasn’t obvious, I have a huge obsession with Taylor Swift! Listening to her music truly gets me through a tough day, or when I’m feeling happy and I just want to dance! She has a song for every mood! Another little known fact about me is that I love videography! I’m currently taking a videography class where not only do we learn about filming techniques and different equipment, we also do weekly morning announcements, and it’s a lot of fun! It’s also a career that I plan on doing in the future! 😁 [Sofieology]: Here’s something cool: You do marching band! Tell us a bit about how you joined and why you love it. [RRainbow_]: I am! I actually do color guard, which is an activity in marching band that spins flags, rifles, and sabres! We basically make our band show pop with colors! I actually had many family members who did marching band. Fun fact: I actually didn’t plan to go into color guard, I actually planned on going into drill team for the longest time! However I’ve been going to many of the band events and thought I would love to do this! However I didn’t play a musical instrument at the time, so color guard was my only option. Fortunately, I actually had dance experience under my belt so it actually worked out very well as I am still doing color guard to this day and I love every moment of it! [Sofieology]: You are an avid fan of Jackbox games! If you could create a Jackbox game, what would it be called and what would it be about? [RRainbow_]: YESSSSS! I LOVE JACKBOX! I would definitely make a game that’s makes your creative side going! Since those are the games that give you the most laughs! Ooo! Maybe one where you create your own outfits and vote on which outfits you like best! It’d be called, “Painter’s Runway!” Also a Monster Seeking Monster 2 would be awesome! 😁 [Sofieology]: You are good friends on here with @RocknRocco! How did that friendship begin? Is he really a pebble? [RRainbow_]: Yeah I am! Well, I met Rocco way back in the guide program! At the very beginning when he first joined the team, me and him actually barely talked! Around the beginning of June, I noticed that he had a plot on creative that was based around games! I was very interested and wanted to join in the fun! One night I did and it was everything that I expected, a bunch of randomness and fun! We then talked to each other a lot and we still do! Along with that, me and Rocco were in the same trainee group and got promoted to mods together! Overall, we have been completely inseparable, and honestly he’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! Also, he may be the greatest rock wizard we’ve ever known, but he’s always a pebble in our hearts! Haha! Rocco is such a king! 💚💚 [Sofieology]: You have been a close member of Palace for a couple of months now! What are some of your favorite memories? [RRainbow_]: I have a lot of great memories! But I have to go with getting promoted to trainee/moderator! It was honestly a dream come true, and being able to bring magic to the server is honestly so amazing! [Sofieology]: Is there anything else you'd like to add? [RRainbow_]: First of all, I want to thank you Sofie for doing these amazing staff interviews. It’s always so much fun walking down memory lane and looking back at my favorite memories on palace!
