Fun Fact: I am actually Bisexual. Yes, it's a thing and I am happy to be.

We're glad that you're excited to see more coming to the server! Thanks for being apart of Palace and within and ever-growing community! <3

I’m straight, so can I still participate?

Of course! Pride month isn't limited to those in the LGBTQ+ family. It's a great time to just be yourself!

This is such a great message of inclusiveness. I am so happy that I decided to join this sever because I feel a part of the family. As someone who is gay, I am proud of this and very excited for pride month :) 🏳️‍🌈

...🤨

Not to hate on Pride Month or anything, but... I'm not looking forward to this.

Why? Well... the Palace Network doesn't really seem like the server to do this sort of thing. I mean, yes, the aspect of accepting others and being good with who you are is good, and I support that, but... involving yourselves with the LGBTQ community probably isn't the sort of thing you want to do on a family-friendly server.

Multiple children play on the Palace Network, and this month event might encourage them to explore that side of the internet. I mean, don't the Palace Network rules even have something against that? If you check the rules of the forums, the server, and the Discord, they all have stuff against discussing that sort of topic. But now, because there's a special event that removes that barrier, it's ok to discuss about all of a sudden...? That's not really maintaining that side of your server that I stay on here for.

I'm probably not the only one feeling this, but I'm gonna be the first to bring it up.

Just a thought. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi @TheWebCon! My opinions are my own and don't represent the server. That being said, I believe your comments are coming from a genuine place of caring.

However, I don't feel that celebrating Pride Month on Palace is a negative thing. Having the attitude [we shouldn't be showing this to young people] in my mind means that we're saying that there is something fundamentally wrong with being part of the LGBTQ+ community and that we should be hiding it as opposed to celebrating it. I'm not sure what part of the rules you are referencing, but a few rainbow banners and an extra "yasss queen" in June aren't anything graphic or sexual that would not be appropriate for all ages.

Additionally, if children have access to the internet, I would expect that their guardians have oversight/guidelines into the kinds of content they consume on the web. It would be their responsibility to make sure what their children are searching for/looking at is appropriate and safe for their age.

Man's got a point, Web.

Cannot wait for this! I fully support the community as I have many friends who are part of it! I cannot wait to see what events will be in Place and hopefully this year I can get my hands on some ears and particles!

We've created something great - a community that attracts people from all different backgrounds, from all over the world. It's truly an incredible sight to see everyone come together and express their love and passion for the same thing - Disney. Throughout my time as a leader in this community, I've been fortunate enough to meet so many incredible people from all around the world. People that, without a community like Palace, wouldn't have any idea where to turn to really be who they are. We have all of you to thank for creating such a warm, welcoming community especially for those that wouldn't have an environment like that without us.

At Palace, we embrace diversity and celebrate differences. Everyone is different, and these differences are what make you unique. We're committed to never putting anyone down for their opinions, even if they are different from our own. We encourage you to find your own way in life and we will 100% be here to support you, so long that you're not hurting yourself or others in the process.

As a company, we believe in your freedom to express your true self. We want you to be the best version of you that you can be and we will always be behind you cheering you on every step of the way. No matter what is going on in your personal life, please know that you will always have a place to let your personality shine bright here with us, and you will never be put down for being who you are or for believing in what you believe in.

We ask that you take these values that we have, and share them with each other while you are a part of our community. These values are what make the Palace Community an amazing community to be a part of. Take the differences that you have with each other and understand that those differences aren't the sole definition of a person. Embrace the differences we have with one another and highlight the positives.

We understand that not everyone will get along with each other, and that sometimes the differences we have with one another are more than we can handle, and that's completely understandable. When faced with situations like this, we ask that instead of attacking each other, just take those differences and understand not everyone will feel the same way that you do, and move past it. Respect is so important, and as long as you're respectful of each other, Palace will continue to be a safe and inclusive environment for us all to enjoy together.

We're so excited to participate in Pride Month again this year, starting June 1st, we'll be jam-packed with events, cosmetics, and all around pride! We can't wait for you to see what we have in store, and remember, let your flame burn bright!

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself." --Harvey Fierstein

Being bisexual, I’ve had to deal with hiding myself from even my family for the longest time. Though I still cannot be comfortable in my family sharing this, due to their beliefs, I have been so happy and so lucky to be part of a community that is comfortable with me being who I am. Thank you all for being such amazing people, and I hope you all have a wonderful pride month ❤️
